pictures of Mikala this morning

We are seeing a few more smiles today but she is still obiously miserable. Notice the mittens on her hands. She does not seem to mind these too much except when she tries to pick up small objects/toys. Last night we put socks on her hands and taped them,this worked very well!!! She was able to move more freely and since we had her "fist" her hands before we put the socks on she was unable to get her hands in her mouth. I think we will use the mittens during the day and the socks at night when she will have less supervision. She is sleeping in the port-a-crib in our room, which is a wonderful thing for me because I could reach over and rub her back whenever she needed it (which was just about every 1/2 hour!) Thank you everyone for all of the prayers and well wishes...they really do work!!! Thank you Aunt Sharon for the balloons, she loves balloons!!!
